Handmade in Japan, Kitakata is a smooth, lightweight paper made with 100% Gampi. Gampi fibres have a natural sheen and are often used for making thin tissues.

Kitakata paper has a neutral pH, 4 deckles, and is 30 gsm in weight. It is ideal for use as a conservation tissue in bookmaking projects or in the chine colle printmaking process.
